Music lessons rooted in curiosity, confidence, and connection.

Whether you’re a parent looking for a thoughtful, encouraging music teacher, or an adult ready to reconnect with your creative voice—these lessons are a space to explore, express, and grow.

Voice-centered music lessons for children and adults, blending classical foundations with imagination, play, and experimentation.

The Experience

I see voice work as both an art and a form of self-discovery. My lessons are a space for exploration where breath, sound, and imagination combine.

In our sessions, we explore breath, sound, and imagination — not just scales and exercises. Lessons might include guided improvisation, playful vocal warmups, movement, or experimenting with different styles and textures.

Whether you're preparing for an audition or simply want to feel more at home in your voice, I meet you where you are and help you grow with curiosity and confidence.

Every lesson is a space to play, explore, and surprise yourself.

Who I work with

• Children who benefit from a patient, encouraging, and imaginative approach
• Beginners who want to learn without pressure or comparison
• Teens exploring their voice, songwriting, or musical identity
• Adults returning to music after time away—or starting for the first time

No auditions. No perfection required. Just curiosity and willingness to explore.

ABOUT ANNIE

Woman with short dark hair wearing a yellow T-shirt with a jazz band print, sitting at a piano, smiling, in a colorful room with artwork and musical equipment.

I’m a classically trained mezzo-soprano with a deep love for retro sounds and synthesizers. Voice is my specialty, but I teach through a multi-disciplinary lens—inviting play, curiosity, and imagination into every lesson.

I work with both children and adults, teaching all levels of voice as well as beginning piano, guitar, and songwriting. My approach bridges the classical and the experimental, because to me, Bach, Pauline Oliveros, and the Beach Boys are equally sacred.

At the heart of my teaching is a belief in authenticity and embodiment—the joy of discovering your truest voice and the freedom that comes from letting it be heard.

How lessons work

Lessons are tailored to each student’s goals, experience level, and learning style. Sessions may include vocal technique, ear training, creative exercises, songwriting, basic piano or guitar, and listening practices—depending on what best supports the student.

We move at a pace that feels supportive and sustainable, focusing on progress, confidence, and musical understanding rather than pressure or performance.

Let’s make music together!

If you’re curious about lessons—or simply want to see if this feels like the right fit—you’re very welcome to reach out.

You can schedule a trial lesson, ask a question, or share a little about yourself or your child. There’s no pressure or commitment—just a conversation to see what might work best.
